This is a new song that I wrote a while ago trying to capture the meaning of belonging to God. There's no way to express how much it ought to mean but we can try!

1 Corinthians 13 talks about love. and God is love, so the passage refers to God. We are told that Love never gives up, perseveres through every circumstance, keeps no record of wrongs, is not easily angered. Sounds like something I'd like to get to know!

I was talking with a friend the other day and I realized an interesting fact of life. As a kid who grew up in the church, I've sort of taken God for granted. It's like, He's always there and He loves me. But I've also seen the attitude of a new believer who hasn't had the luxury of growing up as a Christian. He is the one who really acknowledges the reality of our relationship with God. It's an awe inspiring thing. God's presence and His reasoning behind the love He shows... it blows my mind.
